Before using these apps, keep in mind that they can take more control over your personal details than the Facebook official app. So, I won’t recommend to use these apps.

2. Use Facebook on Web Browser

Facebook Reels are only available on a Facebook mobile app. So, to get rid of reels you can use Facebook on a Web browser.

There are some steps to use Facebook on a Web browser:

1. Open a web browser.

2. Enter the URL https://www.facebook.com/.

3. Select enter.

4. Now log in with your Facebook account.

5. Enjoy Facebook without reels.

3. Use Old Facebook app

Facebook app with older version doesn’t have the feature of reels. So, you can use it to get rid of reels. But make sure that you don’t care about the latest features and updates of the current version of the Facebook app.

It is very easy to install the older version of the Facebook app. Just follow these steps.

1. First, you have to uninstall the current Facebook version from your phone.

2. Now search Facebook in the app store.

3. Download this app and allow unknown sources.

4. Install this app.

5. Login with your Facebook account.

6. Don’t Update the Facebook app to the latest version.

7. You can disable auto-update.

  • Open Google Play Store.
  • Search Facebook app.
  • Select the three-dot menu and tap on disable auto update option

4. Hide Reels From Facebook News Feed

This option is best when you like to watch fewer reels on the Facebook app instead of lots of reels. Facebook allows you to select this option for any post.

Follow these steps to hide reels from the news feed.

1. Open the Facebook app on your mobile phone.

2. Now select a reel from the reels section or news feed.

3. Select the three dots menu on the reels.

4. Select Hide option.

5. You will not get similar reels of that reels again.

With this method, you can’t completely turn off the reels, but you may decrease the number of reels appearing on your news feed. So, this is the easiest method to disable reels on the Facebook app.

5. Disable Auto-Play for Facebook Reels

There is another option available if you want to use the Facebook app rather than the Facebook web, but without reels. So, you can choose to disable the Auto-Play feature of Facebook reels.

There are some steps to disable reels.

1. Open Facebook app on your phone.

2. Select three lines from the top right corner.

3. Select Settings.

4. Tap on the Media option from the list.

5. Now find the Auto-Play section and enable the option Never Autoplay videos.

6. There is another option in the list by which you can mute the audio of videos.

7. Now, enjoy Facebook without getting interrupted by Reels

This method is best if you have a limited amount of internet data to use. So, You need to disable Autoplay videos because they can consume your data very fast.

To remove reels on the Facebook app, follow these simple steps:

1. Open Instagram app.

2. Select your profile.

3. Go to Settings.

4. Select Privacy option.

6. Now turn off the option Recommend on Facebook.
